Hi all, here's a recap of last week's plays and the ytd. plus a little talk about "Quality Losses."

Top Plays 4-1
W -- 2 Team Teaser Colts-2.5/Patriots-.5
W -- 2 Team Teaser Eagles-1/Packers PK
W -- 2 Team Teaser Texans+7.5/Bills+10.5
If you compare these to the final scores, you will see that every one of these 6 games covered as a 6-point Pleaser! lol...if I'd only played them as such.
W -- Steelers/Redskins Under 36
L -- Eagles/Giants Over 37.5 Hmm...Let's count the ways the Gints might have scored a single touchdown in this game to put it Over. #1 Don't throw an interception in the endzone. #2 Don't commit Personal Fouls from the sidelines. #3 Don't drop a 4th and long pass that puts you in the Red Zone. #4 Don't go 0-3 in the Red Zone. Lousy Gints, lol.
Every time I lose a play, I of course ask myself why it lost. Not just for excuses like above -- but in games where you really had the wrong side of a play. Often when you look at the numbers you feel you still made the right play but didn't catch any breaks to cover. Games like this where you end up close I consider "Quality Losses" -- where the handicapping was good, but the results weren't. Been thinking about this since Sunday because I feel like a had a number of Quality Losses Sunday, lol.

2ndary Plays 4-4
W -- 2 Team Teaser Redskins+17/Raiders+17
W -- 2 Team Teaser Panthers +10/Chargers +10
W -- Colts/Lions Under 54
L -- Cowboys/Bears Over 35.5
L -- Browns +6. Pick 6 in the last 1.5 minutes = Quality Loss
L -- Falcons/Saints Over 46 -- 45 Points scored in game = Quality Loss
L -- Broncos/Raiders Under 45.5 -- 0-0 Score with 1:55 remaining in 1st half = Quality Loss. (Not to mention the 4th and 5 score by the Raiders to win.)
W -- Chiefs/Chargers Over 51.5

Sure, you get breaks and breaks go against you, it just sucks to lose a lot of close ones on one day.

Halftime Hedges 0-2 (Posted plays not for others to play, just personal hedges that I count towards my record.)
Colts/Lions Over 25.5 2nd half
Ravens +4 2nd half

Year to date in next post.

Well, I've gone back and logged EVERY pick I've posted on the forum this year. Unfortunately, I had a couple of really good weeks before I started posting -- weeks where I swept all my big teaser plays, so alas and a...something, my record here is not as good as it's really been overall.

TOP PLAYS
15-9

2NDARY PLAYS
28-18-1

HALFTIME HEDGES (Posted not for others to plays, but as hedges I count towards my record.) 0-2

59.2% on the year (including the HT hedges).

I'll post my lines for all the games tomorrow.

Converting to units

Well, I might as well convert everything to units, because I play a high volume of picks. Previously listed Top Plays were basically 2 unit plays, 2ndary plays 1 unit. So, converting that over...

Year to Date
58-38-1 = +20 Units with all plays being 1 or 2 units thus far.
